A former Phoenix Police Officer that wasn’t expected to live after his on duty incident is now a motivational speaker and an inspiration to everyone he meets. His book is available online as well. Usual Suspects visits Officer CJ Wren

The Usual Suspects visited with CJ Wren and his family today. CJ is a Phoenix Police Officer who was attempting a traffic stop on a suspect vehicle when his vehicle was struck from behind by a Ford F350, with a trailer, at 80mph. The driver was busy using his phone when he struck CJ’s vehicle. CJ has a Traumatic Brain Injury and is lucky to be alive. The Suspects were happy to deliver a check to CJ and his family to help them during his recovery. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Fundraiser for Fallen / Injured Phoenix Police Officers March 6th

badge_shroud120x120-1024x1024On Monday March 3, 2014, at approximately 1500 hrs., Phoenix Police FAID Detectives John Hobbs and his partner were engaged in a gunfight in the vicinity of 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Rd.  while attempting to apprehend a violent felony suspect.  Both sustained serious injuries and were evacuated to St. Josephs hospital and medical center.  Det. Hobbs ultimately succumbed to his injuries.  Det. Hobbs’ partner, whose name is not being released at the family’s request,  underwent surgery and is currently recovering from his injuries.

PLEA will be hosting a benefit fundraiser BBQ at the PLEA office located at 1102 W. Adams St. on Thursday March 6, 2014.  Lunch will be served between the hours of 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM and dinner will be served between the hours of 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM...
